Hadith 38689
٣٨٦٨٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن سماك الحنفي قال: سمعت ابن عباس يقول: لما نزلت أول المزمل كانوا يقومون نحوًا من قيامهم في شهر رمضان (١) وكان بين أولها وآخرها (سنة) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that when the initial verses of Surah Al-Muzzammil were revealed, at that time the companions used to stand (in prayer) at night for as long as they would stand during the month of Ramadan. There was a year between its beginning and end.
