Hadith 38664
٣٨٦٦٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر الحنفي عن (كثير) (١) بن زيد المديني عن المطلب بن عبد اللَّه بن حنطب قال: لما مات عثمان بن مظعون دفنه رسول اللَّه ﷺ بالبقيع أول من دفن فيه، ثم قال لرجل عنده: "اذهب إلى تلك الصخرة، فأتني بها حتى أضعها عند قبره حتى أعرفه بها"، فمن مات من أهلنا دفناه عنده (٢).
Hazrat Mutlib bin Abdullah bin Hantab narrates that when Hazrat Uthman bin Maz'oon passed away, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had him buried in Baqi'. He was the first person to be buried in Baqi'. Then the Prophet said to a man who was present with him, "Bring that stone and place it near this grave so that I may recognize it, and whoever from our family passes away, we will bury him beside him."
