Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Mujahid says that in Makkah, the first person to make a door was Abdur Rahman bin Suhail. He came to Hazrat Umar and said to him that sometimes we have such guests who do not have any servant with them. They take off their shoes and leave their mounts untied. We fear thieves, so please permit us to make a door. Hazrat Umar granted permission. After that, the Quraysh also started making doors.
