Hadith 3866
٣٨٦٦ - حدثنا هشيم عن ابن عون عن مجاهد قال: سألناه أكان ابن عمر يتطوع في السفر؟ (فقال) (١): لا. فقلت: (فركعتان) (٢) قبل الفجر؛ قال: ما رأيته (ترك) (٣) تينك في سفر ولا حضر (٤).
Ibn Aun says that we asked Mujahid whether Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to offer voluntary prayers during travel. He replied, "No." I asked, "Did he offer the two Sunnah (units) of Fajr?" He replied, "I have never seen him abandon these two Sunnah, whether in travel or at home."
