Hadith 38593
٣٨٥٩٣ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عوف عن زرارة بن أوفى حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن ⦗١٤٨⦘ سلام قال: لما قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ المدينة (انجفل) (١) الناس قبله وقيل: قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ ثلاثًا، فجئت في الناس لأنظر إليه، فلما تبينت وجهه عرفت أن وجهه ليس بوجه كذاب، فكان أول شيء سمعته يتكلم به أن قال: "يا أيها الناس أفشوا السلام، وأطعموا الطعام، وصلوا الأرحام، وصلوا والناس نيام، تدخلوا الجنة بسلام" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, arrived in Madinah, people rushed towards him. I also came along with the people to meet the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. When I looked closely at his face, I realized by seeing this face that it could not be the face of a liar. The first thing I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say was: "O people! Spread peace, feed others, maintain family ties, pray at night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise in peace."
