Hadith 38576
٣٨٥٧٦ - حدثنا الفضل حدثنا هشام بن سعد عن زيد بن أسلم قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "قد عرفت أول الناس بحر (البحائر) (١) رجل من بني مدلج كانت له (ناقتان) (٢) فجدع آذانهما وحرم (ألبانهما) (٣) وظهورهما، ولقد رأيته وإياهما (في النار) (٤) تخبطانه (بأخفافهما) (٥)، (وتقضمانه) (٦) بأفواههما، ولقد عرفت أول الناس (سيب) (٧) السوائب ونصب النصب وغير عهد إبراهيم: عمرو بن لحي، ولقد رأيته يجر قصبه في النار يؤذي أهل النار جر قصبه" (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Aslam that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I know the person who first made the Bahira animal (an animal dedicated in the name of idols for offerings); he was a man from Banu Mudlij who had two she-camels. He cut the ears of both, and declared their milk and riding on them to be forbidden. I am seeing that man and his she-camels in Hell, that they are trampling him with their feet and biting him with their mouths. I also know the person who made the Saibah animal and assigned shares to idols and changed the religion of Ibrahim. He was Amr bin Luhayy. I am seeing him dragging his intestines in Hell, and because of him, the people of Hell are being tormented.
