Hadith 38565
٣٨٥٦٥ - حدثنا عثمان بن (مطر) (١) عن هشام عن قتادة قال: أول مخضوب خضب في الإسلام أبو قُحافة أريه النبي ﷺ ورأسه مثل الثغامة فقال: "غيروه بشيء وجنبوه السواد" (٢).
Hazrat Qatadah says that the first person to use dye in Islam was Hazrat Abu Quhafah. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his head like Thaghamah (a white plant), he said, "Change it with something and avoid black color."
