٣٨٥٣٣ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن داود عن شهر بن حوشب عن عبد الرحمن ابن غَنْم قال: أول جد ورث في الإسلام (عمر بن الخطاب) (١) فأراد أن (يحتاز) (٢) المال كله، فقلت: (يَا) (٣) أمير المؤمنين! إنهم شجرة دونك -يعني بني بنيه (٤).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm states that in Islam, the first person to inherit as a grandfather was Hazrat Umar bin Khattab. He wanted to take all the wealth, so I said to him that they, meaning his grandsons, are just like your own children.
