٣٨١٢٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن زكريا العبدي عن إبراهيم أنه بكى في مرضه فقالوا له: يا أبا عمران ما يبكيك؟ فقال: (و) (١) كيف لا أبكي وأنا أنتظر رسولا من ربي (ليبشرني) (٢) إما بهذه وإما بهذه.
Ibrahim Nakha'i wept during his illness of death, so people asked him, "O Abu Imran! What has made you weep?" He replied, "Why should I not weep when I am awaiting the messenger of my Lord, so that he may give me glad tidings of either this thing (Paradise) or that thing (Hell)!"
