٣٧٩١٨ - حدثنا أحمد بن عبد اللَّه قال: حدثنا إسرائيل عن أبي يحيى عن إياس بن معاوية (عن أبيه) (١) قال: كان أفضلهم عندهم -يعني الماضين- أسلمهم صدرا وأقلهم (غيبة) (٢).
Hazrat Iyas bin Mu'awiyah narrates from his father that among the earlier people, the most virtuous was the one who was the most pure-hearted and did the least backbiting.
