Hadith 37711
٣٧٧١١ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن عمه عن كردوس قال: كان يقص علينا غدوة وعشية ويقول: إن الجنة لا تنال إلا بعمل لها، اخلطوا الرغبة بالرهبة، (ودوموا) (١) على صلاح، واتقوا اللَّه بقلوب سليمة وأعمال صالحة، ويكثر أن يقول: من خاف أدلج.
It is narrated from Hazrat Kardus that he said: You used to tell us incidents in the morning and evening and would say: Surely, Paradise cannot be attained without the deeds of Paradise. Combine desire with fear. Be constant in good deeds. And fear Allah Almighty along with sound hearts and righteous deeds. And you used to say frequently: Whoever fears sets out early in the darkness.
