٣٧٧٠٠ - حدثنا (أبو أسامة) (١) قال: سمعت الأعمش قال: حدثنا عمرو بن مرة عن ابن سابط (قال) (٢): يدبر أمر الدنيا أربعة: جبرائيل ميكائيل وإسرافيل وملك الموت، فأما جبرائيل فصاحب الجنود والربح، وأما ميكائيل فصاحب القطر (والنبات) (٣)، وأما ملك الموت فموكل (بقبصن) (٤) الأنفس، وأما إسرائيل فهو ينزل بالأمر عليهم بما يؤمرون.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Sabit that he says: The affairs of the world are managed by four angels: Jibreel, Mikaeel, Israfeel, and the Angel of Death. Jibreel is in charge of armies and winds, Mikaeel is in charge of rains and vegetation, the Angel of Death seizes souls, and Israfeel descends with the commands for people that they are to fulfill.
