Hadith 37548
٣٧٥٤٨ - حدثنا معاذ عن ابن عون عن محمد قال: كتب أبو موسى إلى عامر من عبد اللَّه بن قيس (إلى عامر بن عبد اللَّه الذي وإن يدعى عامر بن عبد قيس) (١): أما بعد: فإني عهدتك على أمر وبلغني أنك تغيرت، فإن كنت على ما عهدت فاتق (اللَّه) (٢) ودم، وإن كنت تغيرت فاتق اللَّه ومحمد (٣).
It is narrated from Muhammad that he says: Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to Amir from Abdullah bin Qais to Amir bin Abdullah ... who was previously called Abd Qais ... To proceed! I had made a covenant with you on a matter and it has reached me that you have changed. Therefore, if you are still upon the agreement I made, then fear God and remain steadfast. And if you have changed, then fear God and return.
