كلام أبي الدرداء ﵁Sayings of Abu al-Darda’ رضي الله عنه
Hadith 37301
٣٧٣٠١ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عبد اللَّه بن مرة قال: قال أبو الدرداء: اعبدوا اللَّه كأنكم ترونه، وعدوا أنفسكم من (الموتى) (١)، واعلموا أن قليلا يغنيكم خير من كثير يلهيكم، واعلموا أن البر لا يبلى وأن الإثم لا ينسى (٢).
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Murrah that he said: Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Worship Allah as if you see Him, and count yourself among the dead. And know that the little which suffices you is better than the abundance which makes you heedless. And know that virtue does not become old, and sin is not forgotten.
