Hadith 37299
٣٧٢٩٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن زبيد عن مرة عن عبد اللَّه قال: إن اللَّه يعطي الدنيا من يحب ومن لا يحب، ولا يعطي الإيمان إلا من يحب، فإذا أحب اللَّه عبدا أعطاه الإيمان، (فمن) (١) جبن منكم عن الليل أن يكابده، والعدو أن يجاهده، وضن بالمال أن ينفقه، فليكثر من سبحان اللَّه والحمد للَّه، ولا إله إلا اللَّه، واللَّه أكبر (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah, he says: Surely Allah gives the world to those whom He loves and to those whom He does not love, but He grants faith only to those whom He loves. When Allah loves a servant, He grants him faith. So whoever among you fears enduring hardship at night, is cowardly in striving against the enemy, and is miserly in spending wealth, then he should frequently recite: Subhan Allah, walhamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar.
