Hadith 37266
٣٧٢٦٦ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن أبي حنيفة سمعه من عون بن عبد اللَّه عن ابن مسعود قال: (يعرض) (١) الناس يوم القيامة على ثلاثة دواوين: ديوان فيه الحسنات، وديوان فيه النعيم، وديوان فيه السيئات، فيقابل بديوان الحسنات ديوان النعيم، فيستفرغ النعيم الحسنات، وتبقى السيئات مشيئتها إلى اللَّه تعالى، إن شاء عذب، وإن شاء غفر (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: On the Day of Resurrection, people will be presented with three registers. One register in which there will be good deeds, one register in which there will be blessings, and one register in which there will be sins. Then the register of blessings will be brought against the register of good deeds. Thus, the good deeds will be exhausted in exchange for the blessings, and the sins will remain, which will be subject to Allah’s will. If Allah wills, He will punish, and if He wills, He will forgive.
