Hadith 37265
٣٧٢٦٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان (عن زبيد) (١) عن مرة قال: قال عبد اللَّه: إن اللَّه يعطي الدنيا من يحب ومن لا يحب، ولا يعطي الإيمان إلا من يحب، فإذا أحب اللَّه عبدا أعطاه (٢) الإيمان (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Marrah that he says Hazrat Abdullah said: Surely Allah Almighty gives the world to the one He loves and also to the one He does not love. But He gives faith only to the one He loves. So when Allah Almighty loves a servant, He grants him faith.
