Hadith 37261
٣٧٢٦١ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن السري بن يحيى (عن الحسن) (١) قال: قال عبد اللَّه: لو (وقفت) (٢) بين الجنة والنار فقيل لي: (نخبرك) (٣) من أيهما تكون أحب إليك أو تكون رمادا، لاخترت أن أكون رمادا (٤).
It is narrated from Hasan that he says that Abdullah said: If I am made to stand between Paradise and Hell and I am told ... we will tell you which of these two you are in ... is this more beloved to you ... or that you become ashes? Then I would prefer to become ashes.
