Hadith 37128
٣٧١٢٨ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن العلاء بن المسيب عن الحسن قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ما من قطرتين أحب إليّ اللَّه من قطرة (دم) (١) في سبيله، أو من قطرة دموع ⦗٢٨٨⦘ قطرت من عين رجل قائم (في جوف) (٢) الليل من خشية اللَّه، وما من جرعتين أحب إلى اللَّه من جرعة محزنة موجعة ردها صاحبها بحسن صبر وعزاء، أو جرعة غيظ كظم عليها" (٣).
It is narrated from Hasan that he says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are no drops more beloved to Allah Almighty than these two drops: one is the drop of blood that falls in the way of Allah, and the other is the tear that falls from the eye of a person out of fear of Allah, who stands before Allah in the middle of the night. And there are no sips more beloved to Allah than these two sips: one is the painful and distressing sip which a person accepts with good patience and endurance, and the other is the sip of anger which a person restrains."
