Hadith 37016
٣٧٠١٦ - حدثنا سعيد بن شرحبيل عن ليث بن سعد عن عَقيل عن ابن شهاب قال: جلست يوما إلى أبي إدريس الخولاني وهو يقص فقال: ألا (أخبرك) (١) من كان أطيبَ الناس طعاما [فلما رأى الناس قد (نظروا) (٢) إليه قال: إن يحيى بن زكريا كان أطيبَ الناس طعاما] (٣)، إنماكان يأكل مع الوحش كراهة أن يخالط الناس في معايشهم.
Ibn Shihab says: One day I was sitting with Abu Idris Khawlani and he was conversing. So he said: Shall I not tell you who among the people used to consume the best food? When he saw that the people were attentive to him, he said: Yahya bin Zakariya (peace be upon him) used to consume the best food. His practice was that he would eat and drink in the company of animals, because he disliked being a partner in people's (unlawful) earnings.
