Hadith 37013
٣٧٠١٣ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أخبرنا إسماعيل المكي ومبارك عن الحسن قال: قال لقمان لابنه: يا بني حملت الجندل والحديد فلم أر (شيئًا) (١) أثقل من جار سوء، وذقت (المرار كله) (٢) فلم أر (شيئا) (٣) أمر من (التجبر) (٤).
Hasan says: Hazrat Luqman (may Allah have mercy on him) said to his son: O my son! I have lifted stones and iron, but I have not seen anything heavier (i.e., more distressing) than a bad neighbor. And I have tasted every bitter thing, but I have not found anything more bitter than arrogance.
