Hadith 36932
٣٦٩٣٢ - حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة قال: إن اللَّه تعالى لما لعن إبليس سأله النظرة، فأنظره إلى يوم الدين، قال: وعزتك لا أخرج من جوف -أو قلب- ابن آدم ما دام فيه الروح، قال: وعزتي لا أحجب عنه التوبة ما دام فيه الروح.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Qalabah that when Allah cast Iblis out, he asked Allah for respite, so Allah Almighty granted him respite until the Day of Resurrection. Satan said, "O Allah, by Your honor, as long as there is a soul in the body of the children of Adam, I will keep leading them towards Hell." Allah Almighty said, "By My honor and majesty, I will keep covering their sins through repentance as long as there is a soul in their bodies."
