Hadith 36896
٣٦٨٩٦ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح قال: لما مرض أبو طالب قالوا (له) (١): أرسل إلى ابن أخيك هذا فيأتيك بعنقود من جنته، لعله يشفيك به، قال: فجاء الرسول وأبو بكر عند النبي ﷺ جالس، فقال أبو بكر: إن اللَّه حرمها على الكافرين (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Salih that when Abu Talib became ill, people said to him that he should send someone to his nephew so that he might bring a cluster of grapes from Paradise for him, perhaps he would be cured by it. They came to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), and at that time Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said that surely Allah Almighty has made it (the blessings of Paradise) forbidden for the polytheists.
