Hadith 36812
٣٦٨١٢ - حدثنا محمد بن بشر قال: حدثنا سعيد بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن سالم بن أبي الجعد عن معدان بن أبي طلحة اليعمري عن ثوبان أن النبي ﷺ سئل عن سعة الحوض، فقال: " (هو) (١) ما بين مقامي هذا إلى عثمان ما بينهما شهر أو نحو ذلك"، فسئل رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن شرابه، فقال: "أشد بياضا من اللبن وأحلى من ⦗١٧٨⦘ العسل، (يعب) (٢) فيه ميزابان مداده أو مدادهما من الجنة، أحدهما ورق والآخر ذهب" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Thawban that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the width of the Pond of Kawthar. He said: Its width is from here to Oman, and the distance between them is about a month’s journey or as much as that. He was asked about its water. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey.
