Hadith 36805
٣٦٨٠٥ - حدثنا محمد بن بشر قال: حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عمر قال: حدثني إبراهيم بن أبي عبلة العقيلي أن العلاء بن زياد كان يحدث عن نبي اللَّه ﷺ قال: "عباد من عباد اللَّه ليسوا بأنبياء ولا شهداء، يغبطهم الأنبياء والشهداء يوم القيامة (لقربهم) (١) من اللَّه على منابر من نور، يقول الأنبياء والشهداء: من هؤلاء؟ فيقولون: هؤلاء كانوا (تحابوا) (٢) في اللَّه على غير أموال (تعاطوها) (٣)، ولا أرحام كانت بينهم" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Alaa bin Ziyad that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be some servants of Allah who will not be prophets or martyrs, but the prophets and martyrs will envy them on the Day of Resurrection because of their closeness to Allah; they will be on pulpits of light. The prophets and martyrs will ask, "Who are these people?" Allah Almighty will say: These are those who used to love each other for the sake of Allah, not because of any wealth that they gave to one another, nor because of any kinship between them.
