Hadith 36784
٣٦٧٨٤ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: حدثنا همام قال: حدثنا زيد بن أسلم عن عطاء بن يسار عن عبادة بن الصامت عن النبي ﷺ قال: "الجنة مائة درجة بين كل (درجتين) (١) كما بين السماء إلى الأرض، والفردوس أعلاها درجة، ومن فوقها يكون العرش، ومنها تفجر أنهار الجنة الأربعة، فإذا سألتم اللَّه الجنة فاسألوه الفردوس" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Paradise has one hundred levels, and the distance between each two levels is as great as the distance between the sky and the earth. The highest level of Paradise is Jannat-ul-Firdous, above which is the Throne, and from it flow four rivers. When you ask Allah Almighty, ask for Jannat-ul-Firdous.
