Hadith 36689
٣٦٦٨٩ - حدثنا يعلى بن عبيد قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن زياد مولى بني مخزوم قال: سمعت أبا هريرة يقول: (إن) (١) في الجنة لشجرة يسير الراكب في ظلها مائة عام واقرءوا إن شئتم: ﴿وَظِلٍّ مَمَّدُودٍ﴾ [الواقعة: ٣٠]، فبلغ ذلك كعبا (فقال) (٢): صدق (و) (٣) الذي أنزل التوراة على لسان موسى والفرقان على لسان محمد ﷺ لو أن رجلا ركب حقة أو جذعة ثم (أدار) (٤) بأصل تلك الشجرة ما بلغها حتى ⦗١٤٦⦘ يسقط هرما، إن اللَّه غرسها بيده ونفخ (فيها) (٥) من روحه، وإن أفنانها من وراء سور الجنة، وما في الجنة نهر إلا يخرج من أصل تلك الشجرة (٦).
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: In Paradise, there is a tree under whose shade a rider could travel for a hundred years and still not reach its end. If you wish, recite the verse of the Holy Qur'an { وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ }. When this statement reached Hazrat Ka'b, he said: By the One Who revealed the Torah to Musa and revealed the Qur'an upon the tongue of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) has spoken the truth. If a rider mounted on a camel tried to reach the roots of that tree, he would not be able to do so until he became old and fell down. Allah Almighty planted this tree with His own hands and breathed into it of His spirit. The edges of this tree are behind the wall of Paradise, and all the rivers of Paradise flow from the roots of this tree.
