Hadith 36195
٣٦١٩٥ - حدثنا الحسن بن موسى حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن علي بن زيد (١) عن يوسف بن مهران عن ابن عباس عن النبي ﷺ قال: "كان عمر، آدم ألف سنة، وكان عمر داود ستين سنة، فقال، آدم: أي رب زده من عمري أربعين سنة فأكمل ⦗٩٧⦘ لآدم ألف سنة وأكمل لداود مائة سنة" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The age of Hazrat Adam was one thousand years, the age of Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) was sixty years, Hazrat Adam said, "O Allah, grant forty years from my age to Dawood." The age of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) was completed as one thousand years, and the age of Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) was completed as one hundred years.
