Hadith 36142
٣٦١٤٢ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: عرضت على رسول اللَّه ﷺ يوم أحد وأنا ابن أربع عشرة فاستصغرني، وعرضت عليه يوم الخندق وأنا ابن خمس عشرة فأجازني (١).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, I was presented before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and at that time I was fourteen years old. The Prophet (peace be upon him) considered me too young and sent me back. On the day of the Battle of Khandaq, I was presented before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and at that time I was fifteen years old, so he granted me permission to participate in jihad.
