Hadith 36124
٣٦١٢٤ - [حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن بقي بن مخلد قال: حدثنا أبو بكر عبد اللَّه بن محمد بن أبي شيبة قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن سعيد بن المسيب أن النبي ﷺ أنزل عليه القرآن وهو ابن ثلاث وأربعين (سنة) (١)، وأقام بمكة عشر سنين، وبالمدينة عشر سنين، وتوفي وهو ابن ثلاث وستين سنة (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) began to receive the revelation of the Qur'an at the age of forty-three. He stayed in Makkah Mukarramah for ten years and in Madinah Munawwarah for ten years. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, his blessed age was sixty-three years.
