Hadith 35879
٣٥٨٧٩ - حدثنا ابن نمير قال: ثنا عبيد اللَّه بن عمر عن نافع عن ابن عمر عن النبي ﷺ كان يقول إذا رجع من الجيش أو السرايا أو الحج أو العمرة كما (أ) (١) وفى على ثنية أو فدفد كبر ثلاثًا ثم قال: "لا إله إلا اللَّه وحده صدق اللَّه وعده، آئبون تائبون عابدون لربنا حامدون" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from an army expedition, a detachment, Hajj, or Umrah, and came to a mountain pass or open ground, he would say Takbeer three times and then recite this supplication: "There is no god but Allah, alone; Allah fulfilled His promise; we are returning, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord."
