Hadith 35738
٣٥٧٣٨ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن الركين عن أبي عمرو الشيباني عن رجل من الأنصار عن النبي ﷺ قال "الخيل ثلاثة: فرس يرتبطه الرجل في سبيل اللَّه (فثمنه) (١) أجر، وركوبه وعاريته أجر، وعلفه أجر، وفرس (يغالق) (٢) عليه الرجل (ويراهن) (٣) عليه فثمنه وزر، وعلفه وزر، وركوبه وزر، وفرس للبطنة فعسى أن يكون سدادا من الفقر إن شاء اللَّه" (٤).
Hazrat Abu Umar al-Shaybani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from an Ansari that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The horse is of three kinds. One is the horse that is kept for jihad; its price is a reward, riding it is a reward, renting it is a reward, and feeding it is a reward. The second is the horse that is kept for gambling; its price is a burden, feeding it is a burden, and riding it is a burden. And the third is the horse that is kept for livelihood; so it is likely that it will protect him from poverty, if Allah wills.
