Hadith 35717
٣٥٧١٧ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن ابن عجلان عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد عن أبي شريح الخزاعي عن النبي ﷺ قال: "من كان يؤمن باللَّه واليوم الآخر فليكرم ضيفه، جائزته يومًا وليلة، ولا يحل لضيف أن (يثوي) (١) عند صاحبه حتى يحرجه الضيافة ثلاث، وما أنفق عليه بعد ثلاث فهو صدقة" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Shuraih Al-Khuzai (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest for one day and one night, and it is not permissible for the guest to stay with the host so long that he puts him in difficulty. Hospitality is for three days; whatever is spent after three days is charity.
