Hadith 35671
٣٥٦٧١ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن عيسى عن الشعبي، ﴿وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ﴾، قال: من أهل العهد وليس بمؤمن.
Hazrat Sha'bi, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an { وَإِنْ کَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ بَیْنَکُمْ وَبَیْنَہُمْ مِیثَاقٌ}, says that he should be from among the Ahl al-Dhimma, not one who comes under protection (aman).
