Hadith 35477
٣٥٤٧٧ - حدثنا جرير عن ليث عن مجاهد قال: نسخت: ﴿(وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ) (١) حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ﴾ [النساء: ٨٩]، ما كان قبل ذلك من فداء أو منّ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that { وَاقْتُلُوہُمْ حَیْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوہُمْ } was abrogated, which previously contained the command to release (prisoners) by ransom or by showing kindness.
