٣٥٤٧١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا أسامة بن زيد عن الزهري عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن قال: قال عمر: لأن (أستنقذ) (١) رجلًا من المسلمين من أيدي الكفار أحب إلي من (جزية) (٢) العرب (٣).
Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: To free a Muslim prisoner from the hands of the disbelievers is more beloved to me than the jizya of the entire Arab or the whole Arabian Peninsula.
