Hadith 35135
٣٥١٣٥ - حدثنا زيد بن الحباب قال: ثنا معاوية بن صالح قال: حدثني ربيعة بن يزيد الدمشقي عن قزعة قال: سألت أبا سعيد عن الصوم في السفر فقال: سافرنا مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ فيصوم ونصوم حتى نزلنا منزلًا، فقال: "إنكم قد دنوتم من عدوكم والفطر أقوى لكم" (١).
Hazrat Qaza’ah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Abu Sa’id (may Allah be pleased with him) about fasting during travel. He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We traveled with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so we also fasted and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also fasted, until we stopped at a place. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, you have now come close to your enemy, so breaking the fast is more beneficial for you.
