Hadith 3510
٣٥١٠ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن سفيان عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس عن عبد الرحمن ابن أبي ليلى قال: جاء ابن أم مكتوم إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: يا رسول اللَّه إن المدينة أرض هوام (وسباخ) (١)، فهل لي رخصة أن أصلي العشاء والفجر في بيتي؟ فقال النبي ﷺ: "أتسمع: حي على الصلاة، حي على الفلاح؟ " قال: فقال: نعم. قال: "فَحَيَّهَلا" (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umm Maktum came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "There are many insects and marshy places in Madinah. Is there a concession for me to perform the Isha and Fajr prayers at home?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you hear 'Hayya 'ala-s-Salah' and 'Hayya 'ala-l-Falah'?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then you must come for the prayer."
