Hadith 3501
٣٥٠١ - حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن عدي بن ثابت عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس قال: من سمع المنادي ثم لم يجب من غير عذر فلا صلاة له (١).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) says that whoever hears the voice of the muezzin and does not respond to it without a valid excuse, his prayer is not valid.
