Hadith 34911
٣٤٩١١ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم قال: سمعت عمرو بن ميمون قال: دخل عثمان بن حنيف على عمر فسمعته يقول: لأن زدت على كل رأس درهمين وعلى كل جريب الأرض درهما وقفيزا من طعام لا يضرهم ذلك، ولا يجهدهم أو كلمة نحوها، قال: نعم، قال: فكان على كل رأس ثمانية وأربعون، فجعلها خمسين (١).
Hazrat Amr bin Maymoon narrates that Hazrat Uthman bin Hunaif came to the service of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Hazrat Umar said to him, "If you increase two dirhams for each person and add one dirham and one qafeez of grain for every jarib of land, it will not harm them." Hazrat Uthman bin Hunaif agreed to this. Previously, a person was liable for forty-eight; now it was made fifty.
