Hadith 34801
٣٤٨٠١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان ومسعر عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن قبيصة ابن جابر قال: قال عمر: الشجاعة والجبن (سمة) (١) أو خلق في الرجال، فيقاتل الشجاع عمن لا يبالي أن (لا) (٢) (يؤوب) (٣) إلى أهله، ويفر الجبان عن (ابن) (٤) أبيه وأمه (٥).
Hazrat Qabeesah bin Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Bravery and cowardice are traits or habits found among men. A brave person fights without concern for whether he will return to his family, while a coward flees from the son of his own mother and father.
