Hadith 34744
٣٤٧٤٤ - حدثنا معاذ بن معاذ قال: ثنا عوف عن زياد بن مخراق عن أبي كنانة عن أبي موسى قال: إن من إجلال اللَّه إكرام ذي الشيبة المسلم، وحامل القرآن غير الغالي فيه ولا الجافي عنه، وإكرام ذي السلطان المقسط (١).
Hazrat Abu Kanana (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Indeed, part of honoring Allah is to honor an elderly Muslim, and to honor the bearer of the Qur'an who neither exaggerates regarding it nor neglects it, and to honor a just ruler.
