Hadith 34716
٣٤٧١٦ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ابن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد في قوله: ﴿أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ﴾، قال: كان مجاهد يقول: أصحاب محمد ﷺ، وربما قال: أولو العقل والفقه في دين اللَّه.
Hazrat Ibn Abi Najeeh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) explained the interpretation of this verse as follows: Verse { أَطِیعُوا اللَّہَ وَأَطِیعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِی الأَمْرِ مِنْکُمْ } Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that most of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to say that those meant are people of intellect and understanding, and those who have comprehension in the religion of Allah.
