Hadith 34634
٣٤٦٣٤ - حدثنا عفان قال: ثنا حماد بن سلمة قال: أخبرنا عطاء بن السائب عن أبيه عن عبد اللَّه بن عمرو قال: قال لي: ممن أنت؟ فقلت: من أهل الكوفة، فقال: والذي نفسي بيده ليسافر منها إلى أرض العرب، لا يملكون قفيزًا، ولا درهمًا ثم لا ينجيكم (١).
Hazrat Ibn Saib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked me: "Where are you from?" I replied: "I am from the people of Kufa." Upon this, he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, they have traveled to such a land of the Arabs where you will neither possess a single qafeez nor a single dirham. And you will not attain salvation either."
