٣٤٦٢٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن يونس عن الشعبي أن عمر كتب إلى أهل الكوفة إلى رأس العرب (١).
Imam Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to the people of Kufa: thus he honored them with this title. Towards the foundation of the Arabs.
