Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Out of love for meeting Hazrat Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), even the Throne shook. And its beams were broken into pieces. He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered his grave and remained there for quite some time. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, he was asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What kept you there? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Sa’d was pressed tightly in the grave, then I prayed to Allah and the grave was made spacious.
