Hadith 34482
٣٤٤٨٢ - حدثنا محمد بن (عبيد) (١) عن وائل بن داود قال: سمعت (البهي) (٢) يحدث أن عائشة كانت تقول: ما بعث رسول اللَّه ﷺ زيد بن حارثة في جيش قط إلا أمره عليهم، ولو كن حيًا بعده (استخلفه) (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never sent Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) with any army except that he appointed him as its commander. And if he (Zaid) had lived after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet would have made him the caliph.
