Hadith 34407
٣٤٤٠٧ - حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن مغيرة عن أم موسى (قالت) (١): سمعت عليًّا يقول: أمر رسول اللَّه ﷺ ابن مسعود أن يصعد شجرة فيأتيه بشيء منها، فنظر أصحابه إلى حموشة ساقيه فضحكوا منها، فقال النبي ﷺ: "ما يضحككم؟ لرجل عبد اللَّه في الميزان أثقل من أحد" (٢).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) to climb a tree and bring some fruit. The companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with them) began to laugh upon seeing his thin shins. Upon this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Why are you laughing? The leg of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) will be heavier on the scale than the mountain of Uhud.
