Hadith 34362
٣٤٣٦٢ - حدثنا زيد بن الحباب قال: حدثني حسين بن واقد قال: حدثني عبد اللَّه بن بريدة عن أبيه قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ يخطبنا، فأقبل حسن وحسين عليهما قميصان أحمران يمشيان ويعثران ويقومان، فنزل رسول اللَّه ﷺ فأخذهما فوضعهما بين يديه ثم قال: "صدق اللَّه ورسوله: ﴿وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ﴾ [الأنفال: ٢٨]، رأيت هذين فلم أصبر ثم أخذ في خطبته" (١).
Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon to us when Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) came from the front, both wearing red shirts. They were walking, stumbling and falling, then standing up again. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) descended from the pulpit, took both of them, and seated them in front of himself. Then he said: Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth: Surely your wealth and your children are a trial. I saw these two and could not be patient. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) resumed the sermon.
