Hadith 34194
٣٤١٩٤ - حدثنا إسماعيل ابن علية عن هشام عن ابن سيرين عن كعب بن عجرة أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ ذكر فتنة (فقربها) (١)، فمر رجل مقنع فقال: "هذا وأصحابه يومئذ على الهدى"، فانطلق الرجل فأخذ بمنكبيه وأقبل بوجهه إلى رسول اللَّه ﷺ فقال: هذا؟ قال: "نعم"، فإذا هو عثمان (٢).
Hazrat Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the coming of a tribulation, and he described it as being very near. Then a man passed by whose head was covered with a cloth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On that day, this man and his group will be upon guidance. So a person went after him, caught him by the shoulder, turned his face towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and asked: This man? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Yes! And that was Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him).
